The past few days have been busy when it comes to new titles that have been announced for the PlayStation 4 console. From tactical RPG’s to , there a varied mix to choose from for your PS4 system, – if you’re not going to have them all that is!
In no particular order check out the 10 newest titles announced for the PS4 console below:
1. Knights & Bikes
From the talented creators that brought us Tearaway and Ratchet and Clank comes co-op action adventure game with a naughty streak. Indie game development studio Foam Sword is comprised of veteran game developers previously involved in the above mentioned titles who running a KickStarter campaign to bring the game to the PS4 console.
Inspired by classic and popular movies and games such as The Goonies, Earthbound and Secret of Mana, Knights and Bikes is set on Penfurzy Island, off the coast of Cornwall.
With a mixture of medieval legend and modern tourism the game’s storyline begins in 1987 with the island faces destruction by its enemies from whom the only salvation will come from is the island’s children.
2. Sword Coast Legends
Set in Dungeon & Dragons’ Forgotten Realms, Sword Coast Legends is a co-op RPG game based on elements of D&D. The game launched on PC in October of 2015 and will come to PS4 with a host of improvements made by the developers in response to player feedback.
PlayStation 4 players that purchase Sword Coast Legends will also get a new adventure in the form of the Rage of Demons DLC expansion for free when it is released later in 2016. Also coming free with the DLC will be additional Maps, bosses to fight, armour sets, environments, and new monsters.
3. Dungeons 2 – PS4 22/April/2016
With PlayStation 4 Exclusive content, Dungeons 2 is the dungeon management simulation from Kalypso Media and Realmforge. The game challenges players to embrace their evil side in order to become the baddest Dungeon Lord there is. Players will need to re-assert their evil dominance by utilising both their ethereal ‘Hand of Terror’ and the worker Snots that make up your army.
Dungeons 2 blends influences from the dungeon management genre and creates an amazing dungeon sim experience. Check out the announce trailer below to find out more:

4. Sheltered
Unicube Studios recently announced their console debut on PS4 with Sheltered, a post apocalyptic survival game in which players have to do what it take s o keep their family alive. From scavenging for food, crafting, building, and maintaining your shelter, Sheltered alters the dynamics by making the goal the survival of not only one character, but a whole family.
The game begins with a core base of two adults, two children and a pet who are your dependants. Securing your home is crucial, but so is venturing out to find supplies. In a game that doesn’t pull any punches, fellow survivors in Sheltered can be helpful and friendly, or turn out to be intent on attacking you and your family.
The death of family members is final and the game is over when everybody dies, a tough and gritty title that will challenge players survival instincts. -Out soon on PS4.
5. Blast ‘Em Bunnies 09/04/2016
March also sees the arrival of Blast ‘Em Bunnies, a colourful cartoon shooter action game from another Australian-based independent game developer, the Sydney-based Nnooo. The cartoon action caper lets players take on the role of Bang Bang the cute looking cartoon bunny who has to protect his burrow from an onslaught of evil bunnies.
With the evil bunnies holding Bang Bang’s children hostage, he will have to call on his arsenal of weapons including the carrot rifle, watermelon machine gun, turnip mortars, and runner bean lasers! Coins earned can be sent on further weapons and ammo upgrades.
The game has four different weapons that can be upgraded, 16 bullet types, missions that reset on completion, and over 50 medals to be unlocked. A fun couch-co-op title that everyone can play, Blast ‘Em Bunnies looks set to be a family favourite in the making.
Blast ‘Em Bunnies will be available on Plastation 4 on 9 March with support for Cross-Buy, Cross-Save and optional motion controls.
6. Screencheat -PS4 01/March/2016
Screencheat is the first-person-shooter title from melbourne-based indie developer Samurai Punk. The game is a split-screen FPS in which all characters are invisible and players have to “screencheat.”
If you are still unsure what the game is about then Samurai Punk’s Nicolas Mcodonnel explanation on the PlayStation blog may make things clearer: “Screencheat is a split screen FPS that centres around the conceit of screen cheating/peeping/looking (looking at the screens of other players to locate their position). In Screencheat all players are invisible, turning this controversial tactic into the core mechanic of the game.”
Screencheat was first released on PC in 2014 and comes to PS4 with a whole host of improvements including new weapons, maps, and modes. Further upgrades are the newly added eight-player support, mutators and granular customisation options, and solo training challenges.
Samurai Punk has also added support for more languages including French, German, Russian, Dutch and Portuguese with a focus on the east also seeing the addition of Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Korean for PlayStation 4 gamers in Asia. See the live action trailer below for more:
7. Party Hard
Another new PS4 title from an independent developer, Party Hard is the story from tinyBUILD Games and built by Ukranian games studio Pinokl Games of a guy who just wants to get some sleep but is kept up by noise from a neighbours party. After eventually snapping and going on to commit murder on the dancefloor, literally, his thirst to silence parties all over the country only increases.
Despite its dark story line, Party Hard is actually a silly game at heart and should appeal to most gamers on PS4. See the announcement trailer here:
8. Pirates: Treasure Hunters
With the accolade of being the first MOBA esports game to be developed for console, the swashbuckling Pirates: Treasure Hunters will be docking onto PS4 soon. The game features a variety of characters to play as and sea battles in authentic pirate ships and vehicles.

9. H1Z1: King of the Kill
H1Z1: King of the Kill is a Multi-player arena shooter from Day Break Game Company in which the ultimate goal is to be the last man standing when the dust settles on all the blood-letting. King of the Kill began as a game mode in the open world zombie survival game H1Z1 but it’s popularity quickly convinced the developers that this deserved to be a fully fledged title in its own right.
The fast-paced shooter will feature multiple game modes in through which player fight to the death, as well as chaotic large-scale, last man standing PvP spectacles.
H1Z1: King of the Kill is slated for release on PlayStation 4 in the summer of 2016.
10. Grand Kingdom 17/06/2016 (PS4/ PS Vita)
Coming from the man behind Muramasa: The Demon Blade, Grand Kingdom is the next foray into video games by Tomohiko Deguchi, who was also the director of a popular title in the East called Grand Knights History. The new game is a distillation of Mr Deguchi’s vast experience and the result is a tale of grand proportions.
In Grand Kingdom, players explore the Resonail continent while leading a group of mercenary’s. Success will come from knowing the strengths and weaknesses of your mercenaries, hiring the right ones for your team, and how you use them in battle.A true work of art, the game will enthrall you right from the beginning.
Grand Kingdom is out on PS4 and PS Vita on 17 June 2016. There will also be a PlayStation 4 exclusive Launch Day Edition available from the same day.
