1. Shadow of the Colossus [PS4 Release Date: 06 / 02/ 2018]
Weighing in at an impressive user rating of 8.8 on Metacritic, Shadow of the Colossus is the critically acclaimed action adventure video game from Sony’s Japan Studios. The game comes courtesy of a collaboration between Bluepoint Games and SIE Japan Studio. Shadow of the Colossus was rebuilt from the ground up for the PS4 console and the results are breathtakingly impressive.
The game offers a heady mixture of puzzle-solving, platforming and exploration in a world roamed by colossi.
After over a decade since it captured gamer’s imagination, Shadow of the Colossus was released on Feb 6 2018. The acclaimed adventure title has already won a legion of new fans on PS4.
2. Monster Hunter: World [26/01/2018]
It says something that the first two of our top 5 video games of 2018 are titles that have already been released. Monster Hunter: World landed onto the PS4 console on January 28. Since then the game has since risen to the top of both sales and ratings charts. The action role-playing title developed by Capcom has earned rave reviews and already has millions of fans on PS4.
To underline Monster Hunter’s importance to the PS4 console, the game also has its own special edition bundles and controllers too.
3. Beyond Good and Evil 2 [TBC]
Ubisoft’s action adventure video game Beyond Good and Evil 2 is definitely one of the most eagerly anticipated titles on PS4 in 2018. The upcoming installment will be a prequel to Beyond Good and Evil, first released in 2003.
Unfortunately, development of the game has faced delays and several postponements. However, BGE 2 now has a confirmed 2018 release. Ultimately, this will be a game that will match the excitement and allure of even the best casino games when it finally does get released on PS4. Featuring an alternative-reality setting, Ubisoft confirmed the games imminent release at E3 2017.
4. World War Z [TBC]
Although not officially confirmed for release in 2018, World War Z is included in this list because of the strong possibility that it will be dropping on PS4 this year. Paramount and Saber Interactive’s zombie apocalypse novel turned movie will now be also made into a video game. The third-person zombie shooter game will join a long list of similar games being released in 2018, but is clearly the standout title in the genre this year.
5. Ghost of Tsushima [TBC]
Ghost of Tsushima is yet another game that does not have an official 2018 release date on PS4 yet. However, everything points to a 2018 release for this exciting new franchise from the team behind the Infamous series. Check out the announce trailer below, – released at Paris Games Week in 2017, for a glimpse of what to expect later this year.
