Stealth Inc 2: A Game of Clones will arrive on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita today, according to an official announcement by the gaming studio Curve Digital. The title will be the company’s latest entry in the Stealth Inc series which initially kicked off as a side project of designer Jonathan Biddle.
According to the company, Stealth Inc 2: A Game of Clones will have a little bit of all major stealth games in it. Titles like Metal Gear Solid, Thief, Splinter Cell, and classic platformers like Abe’s Odyssey, Cave Story and Super Meat Boy have heavily inspired the company’s latest edition of Stealth Inc. The company has built the title based on feedback generated from the press and players.
Stealth Inc 2 will revolve around the player becoming a clone to escape an evil testing facility that is controlled in the night by the senior Quality Assurance Manager, Malcom Alderman. The previous title had the players going through a series of complicated test chambers, and in the latest edition the player will be inside the facility already. The main mission is to rescue other clones from their respective test chambers, and then collectively escape the facility.
The second edition of the game is based on the large amount of feedback the company received from those who played the first game. Stealth Inc 2 will comprise of the same quality of humour and gratification from the previous game, and it will take things to a whole new level with a more involved storyline and a slightly higher difficulty curve to please gamers. The company has had a team dedicated to the game for the last 4 years now.
Stealth Inc 2 will also be a slightly bigger game in terms of length. The test chambers from the original game are still present, and now they’ve been linked with a huge Metroidvania world that is full of several challenges and surprises.
The gadgets used by the clone in Stealth Inc 2 are available across the 60 new test chambers, and most of them will have multiple use cases. All these gadgets will be unique, and bring special features with each new level.
Players can also design and share their own levels using the game’s inbuilt level editor. The company claims it had a great time building the game, and players would absolutely love it. Stealth Inc 2: A Game of Clones will be available starting today.
Players who buy the game on a single PlayStation console will be able to access it across any other consoles the may own. It’s a part of the Cross Buy functionality that the gaming studio is supporting.
