Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) has announced a PS4 system software beta and is inviting gamers on the system to contribute by signing up for the test period. PS4 owners who sign up to the System software beta will get an early look at the new features that will soon be added to the PlayStation 4 console.
PS4 System Software Beta
Sony’s latest software trial period will begin early August and requires a master PlayStation Network account and obviously a Playstation 4 console with an internet connection. To sign up to the PS4 system software beta trial simply click here. Please note that signing up for the beta does not guarantee acceptance and the choice of testers is at SCEE’s discretion.
PS4 owners picked to take part will receive email notifications with details of how to download the update. A voucher code for downloading the update will also be included in the official invitation e-mail. The company also says the full details of the new features to be tested will also be shared at this time.
This latest PS4 system software beta trial period follows Sony’s tradition of giving the PS4 community to preview future changes. The company gathers valuable feedback from those taking part and actively encourages suggestions. Not all ideas can be implemented however, but for committed PS4 owners the beta is well worth it.
SCEE suggests signing up with as many of your mates on Playstation Network to enhance your experience of the test period. A reminder that signing up does not guarantee acceptance and spaces are limited so time is of the essence if you’re interested in taking part. Sadly, if you hear nothing from Sony it means you will not have been chosen this time round.
