There are a number of new PS4 games coming out in March of 2015, and one of them is a new puzzle platformer from Norwegian studio Rock Pocket Games.
Available as a download on PlayStation 4 next month, Shiftlings is based on the format of poplar game shows. In the game however, the two protagonists are completely unaware that their every move at work as WePlanet Janitors is being viewed and commented on. The puzzle game gives players charge of the adorable but slow-witted alien space janitor Shiftlings as they go about their jobs, although they will also join the rest of the viewers in enjoying the failings of the very same multi-galactic inhabitants they are in control of.
Gamers in Shiftlings, one of what is turning out to be a whole host of new PS4 games slated for release in March, will be encouraged and put down in equal measure by the vibrant commentary of the game show’s host Zookod.
Zookod is the link between the various planets that the game show will be set in, and he will help you along by providing vital bits of information and hints about the different worlds players will find themselves in. The trailer above provides the background to the game’s narrative and hints at more meaning behind the activities you and the Shiftlings will be carrying out.
The concept for Shiftlings was conceived by the Rock Pocket Games team during a Game Jam competition in Norway where the studio came up with an idea fitting the theme ‘Size Matters,’ as well as ensuring the game’s design and core mechanics were ready. Thus one of this years exciting new PS4 games was born!
Unfortunately, or fortunately as the case may be, players on PlayStation 4 will have to wait for the platform game’s release in March as well as going through most of the levels to discover their special purpose in this story. To keep things interesting and keep your desire to complete the levels, any mysteries will only become clear towards the end of the game.
One of several new PS4 games out this year, Shiftlings is out on Sony PlayStation 4 console as a download in March 2015.
