Tethered is an all new title from Secret Sorcery, an independent British studio, for the upcoming PlayStation VR. The game featuring little nocturnal creatures and Spirit Guardian was announced on the PlayStation Blog, and is all set to launch alongside the PlayStation later this year.

Tethered PlayStation VR

The game has been designed exclusively for PS VR and features Heavenly Archipelago where you, as a Spirit Guardian, seek for the Spirit Energy to keep the plague of nocturnal creatures at bay. Spirit energy is said to be an ancient life-force that can help the Spirit Guardian in the eradication.

While in the game, the day time is used to build up settlements, brandish elemental influences and nurture the Peeps, making them ready for the night ahead. You need to ensure their safety against the waves of the scavengers during dark, till the sun goes up. Being the Spirit Guardian, you need to take care of your peeps.

Tethered is said to offer a more immersive experience as it combines the sand-box experience with puzzle mechanics, making it a great strategy game. Virtual reality will majorly add to the immersive experience while giving enough challenged to the player. The captivating gameplay can keep you hooked for long! Secret Sorcery’s VR Debut

Coming from the developers who were also behind Driveclub and WipeOut, the all new game has been developed from scratch, and is vastly different from any of their previous games. The team has the right experience and technical know-how to enter the VR gaming space with the launch of PlayStation VR.

Tethered PS VRTethered’s trailer gives a brief idea of the gameplay, and the thing seems pretty interesting in those few minutes of play time. The developers say to have drawn influence from Studio Ghibli and Miyazaki to come up with the art style of the game.

Espen, an incredibly talented concept artist who lives in the mountains in Norway, has been roped in to conceptualise the design of the characters and create the landscape. Another team then works upon the concepts and replicates them into beautiful graphics that are just right for VR.

Considering the fact that VR is going to take prominent place in the gaming arena, the developers are much more focused on giving a refined experience to the players. They say that you can expect to spend about 30-40 minutes playing the game and fighting off the denizens.

We are looking forward to try out the game and see how it goes with the PlayStation VR. The game is supposed to be released alongside PlayStation VR later this year.
