The Rocketbirds 2 MetalChicken trailer above is entitled “A Chicken’s Guide to Killing Penguins,” shows off aspects of the new mode, Rescue Mode. In Rescue mode players can take part in offline or online co-op play with up to three other friends as you attempt to free hostages in rescue missions that take you beyond enemy lines.
The task of freeing hostages is to your advantage as each rescued hostage becomes a playable and fully customisable member of your team.
With four procedurally generated locations in which to explore and find hostages to rescue, the same number of weapons stores and an arsenal of nearly 50 weapons which you can use to fight the enemy, Rescue Mode will definately keep you occupied for hours on end.
The list of over 40 weapons in Rescue Mode include melee weapons, shotguns, rifles, rocket launchers, pistols, flamethrowers and many more. Your success can depend on your choice of weapon as certain combinations can give you the edge in the heat of battle by damaging or destabilising your enemies quicker and more effectively.
Weapons that do an even crazier amount of damage such as one-shot rifles will have to be earned through practising your shot and becoming the best of the best.
In Rescue Mode team will also be important in helping you complete your missions. Teammates can protect each other or stack each other on their backs to form more formidable defences, as well as stack KO’d members until they regain consciousness.
Rescue Mode also features the Dojo, where players can face-off against real players in winner-takes all bouts. Choose your weapons carefully because when battle commences all you will have to rely on is your skill.
Rocketbirds 2: Evolution will be released on PlayStation 4 and PSVita consoles on the 26th of April as a cross-buy title and will also have a cross-save feature for the two consoles.
