Resogun Defenders, made by game’s studio Housemarque, will be coming to PlayStation 4 Hot on the heels of Superstardust Ultra’s release, the developer’s other title on PS4.
Resogun Defenders is the second and possibly last expansion to the Resogun series and will be out on the 18th of February 2015. To celebrate the upcoming shoot ’em up’s arrival, Housemarque are giving players access to the latest content update, Resogun Challengers, free of charge with immediate effect!
The massive amount of new content will feature Protector and Commando, two new modes where the storyline will find players making their last stand on an unfamiliar planet against the overwhelming Sentient forces.
In Protector mode, players will have to fight the enemy hordes in the air using all new abilities such as teleporting. Players will have to try and spread their control of the planet while defending the last colony of humans and dodging volcanic meteors at the same time.
Commando mode will bring the ultimate arcade style mode to Resogun Defenders as players take on the role of the last surviving human. With only a mini-gun to defend yourself, you will have to think on your feet to have any chance of fighting off the never ending enemy invasion. In addition, PlayStation 4 players will be able to team up with a friend in co-operative and competitive multiplayer gaming sessions.
Resogun Defenders’ competitive mode is called Battle mode and should provide hours of fun as you play together with friends in fighting a common enemy. For achievements, Defenders will also have all leaderboards as well as a new trophy set for you to covet and aim for.
With Resogun Challengers, the all new free content update will give players access to a new system of player levelling. Resogun players will earn Challenge points for any challenges and missions completed in any game mode and are a great way to revisit every mode and experience it in a new way. Other additions include all new trophy sets and a human gallery mode where you can save and choose from your collection of Human types.
Also coming is a photo mode that now allows you to capture that Amazing screenshot of your action ingame and share it. The Resogun Defenders expansion pack and the free content gives us a new reason to brush up on our flying skills and try to climb up those leaderboards once again! The fight will now definitely be on for those bragging rights and the title of best pilot in the skys.
Resogun Defenders comes to PlayStation 4 on 18 February and will be available with a 35% discount off the retail price for a period of two weeks.
