Futuristic racing game Race the Sun has been confirmed on PlayStation 4 and will arrive on the console in the summer of 2014. The game will also be available on the PS Vita and PlayStation 3 consoles.
In a post on the US PlayStation blog, Forest San Filippo, co-founder of Flippfly, the studio that develops the game, explained that they wanted to create a game which followed the mantra “easy to learn, hard to master”, – the result is a fun, fast and challenging game.
Flippfly claim that they have created a vehicle that feels great to control even at very high speeds. This is in spite of the games’ environments rearranging themselves each day, making it impossible for a player to predict what’s coming.
San Fillipo had this to say about the game: ”The simple, arcade-inspired heart is still there, but there are layers of complexity that let skilled players advance and get higher scores. The core experience has remained centred on that feeling of pure, deadly speed”
We can’t wait to see what this looks like when it comes out, let alone how it will feel to play it, how about you?
