This weeks’ PS4 news in brief brings you an update on the PS4 Platinum headset and news of freebies if you’re planning to buy a new PS4 console, – and live in Canada or the States. The release of PS4’s Platinum headset has been delayed until January 2017, while Sony will be giving away free copies of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare to anyone buying a PS4 on November 4 or 5.
PS4’s Platinum Headset Delayed until 2017
The upcoming Platinum Headset is a well crafted and fitting accessory for all those shiny PS4’s out there. And no doubt there are many who will be disappointed that they wont be able to find one under the christmas tree this coming holiday season. Sony revealed the delay of the eagerly anticipated headset in a tweet on its official account, as seen below:

Get Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Free
In other PS4 news, anyone purchasing a PS4 on November the 4th and 5th will get a copy of Get Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare for Free. And now for the caveats; the offer is only currently available in the US and canada and the console has to be purchased on either of the two days.
Perhaps this is Sony’s way to boost sales of its Flagship console, but anyone considering a PS4 would do well to remember that the more powerful and 4K ready PS4 Pro will be available from the 10th of November.
Consoles in the Infinite Warfare offer include the new slimmer, lighter PS4 for $299.99 USD / $379.99 CAD, and the Uncharted 4 PS4 bundle at the same prices.
Hopefully such an offer will be replicated for PS4 fans in Europe and other regions as well.
