Playtonic has revealed the release date and a new trailer for Yooka-Laylee, the developers’ eagerly anticipated 3D platform-adventure game. Yooka-Laylee will be released on PS4 on 11 April 2017, marking the culmination of a journey that began on crowd-funding site Kickstarter. Playtonic’s announcement was accompanied by a reveal trailer which features Capital Cashino, a new world from the game.
Yooka-Laylee is a puzzle platformer inspired by classics such as Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong Country. The game will feature massive worlds for players to explore as well as collectibles and a fair share of quirky characters.
Players will have to help Yooka and Laylee utilise their special moves in order to gather Pagies used to unlock and expand new worlds. 
Pagies are the games’ golden bounty and the two protagonists will have to tackle various platforming challenges and puzzles to get them.
With the games’ release date now announced, Yooka-Laylee is now available to pre-order in both digital and physical formats.
Fans of the game will be pleased to know that the pre-order offer includes an instant unlock for the Yooka-Laylee PS4 Toybox.
This is a sandbox of the upcoming PS4 game without any spoilers that should give players a taste of what to expect when the full version is released.

Yooka-Laylee: Capital Cashino PS4 Reveal Trailer
The new trailer features a new world in the game called Capital Cashino and sees Yooka and Laylee sample the nightlife as they search for golden bounty.
As with the rest of the game, players will be able to expand Capital Cashino’s environment and make it as complex as they wish.
The expanded areas will also include new characters to interact with and fresh challenges to complete.
As we wait for Yooka-Laylee’s release on PS4 in April of next year, Playtonic promises to add more world’s and quirky characters as the developer finishes off the game.
