Street Fighter fans on PlayStation 4 who have confidence in their ability on the iconic fighting game from Capcom will once again have an opportunity to showcase their skills. Sony has announced that the PlayStation Plus Street Fighter V Tournament will begin on the 1st of May 2016 with cash prizes on offerand registration for the event is now open.

Anyone from veteran players of the game in its original days to newly converted fans who fancy their chances can take part in the tournament and face-off against the best players of the game from all around the world. Players who would like to take part in the PlayStation Plus Street Fighter V Tournament can register on this page. Registration will be open from now until the closing date of Saturday, 30th April, (at 4.00pm BST/5.00pm CEST).
While competing against some of the best Street fighter players in the world is an exciting challenge in itself, Sony is also throwing in the incentive of a couple of cash prizes. The winner of the PlayStation Plus Street Fighter V Tournament will receive €350 (approximately £270,) while the second-placed player gets to walk away €150 (approx £115 ) richer for their efforts.
The tournament is only open to PlayStation Plus members but there is still enough time to set up with the service and register for the tournament before the deadline. PlayStation gamers can join the service for a little more than £3 on the PlayStation Store to not only enjoy the benefit of taking part in the tourney, but the various other benefits that members recieve each month, including free PS4 game demos and downloads.
For existing PS Plus members, perhaps the remaining time left after registration can be spent selecting the character you will use and sharpening your fighting skills. Practise makes perfect!
