Good news for former PlayStation 3 console owners on PlayStation 4 and new PS4 owners who never had a PS3, The PlayStation Now subscription based program is coming soon! Although gamers could already rent games through PlayStation Now, the new programme will give PS4 players instant and unlimited access to over 100 PS3 games at launch.The PlayStation Now subscription service will first launch across North America on the 13th of January 2015, and then spread to other regions in the near future.

Available games will range from action and adventure games to RPG classics from a wide range of developers including Sony’s very own SCE Worldwide Studios, SEGA, Warner Brothers, and indipendant developers as well.

With PlayStation Now, PlayStation 4 owners will be able to easily discover new favourites from the PlayStation 3 catalogue and play a wide range of full games without the need for downloads or installs. With the subscription service library consisting of over a hundred games, and with more games to be added, the new service should provide good value for those who are tempted by the vast amount of game time on offer!

To celebrate the launch of the subscription service, a free PlayStation Now theme will be available for PlayStation 4 users in January 2015. PS Now subscribers that download the theme before January 31, will be automatically entered into a draw for a chance to win a one-year subscription to PlayStation Now.There are many PS4 owners who have never owned a PS3, as well as those that swapped the older console for the next gen PS4, either way, you will now be able to access some of the greatest games ever made for the PlayStation 3 platform.

PlayStation Now will be available across North America with two subscription plans: the first option will be a one month subscription for $19.99, and the second will be a three-month subscription package for $44.99. Details on PlayStation Now’s UK release and pricing are yet to be announced.
