Hardware:
Starting with some hardware updates; Sony Computer entertainment has revealed that it will be releasing a white edition of the Wireless Stereo Headset 2.0 and a 20th Anniversary Edition of the Dualshock 4 Wireless Controller this September.
E3 2014 PS4 Games Updates:
The Last Guardian:
E3 is finally upon us and Sony’s press conference at the event was chock-full of announcements. First up was a quick glimpse at Fumito Ueda’s upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive The Last Guardian in the video below. The game is driven by a rich narrative and already looks stunning. A lot of PS4 owners have been eagerly waiting for this epic adventure title which is slated for release in 2016.
Dreams:
Media Molecule, the creative force behind PlayStation hits such as Tearaway and LittleBigPlanet have introduced their brand new PS4 exclusive title; Dreams.The new project looks amazing judging from the video which you can check out below:
Destiny: The Taken King:
Bungie has revealed the latest Destiny expansion called the Taken King.Destiny: The Taken King is the next chapter in the Sci-fi blockbuster and features versions for both new and old gamers on Destiny as well as PlayStation exclusive gear sets, maps, and weapons.
In The taken King, the Guardians have to face Oryx and his hordes as he seeks revenge for the demise of his son Crota at the hands of the Guardians. Players will have new weapons, gear sets, and abilities to call upon as they defend the solar system.
Call of Duty: Black Ops III Multiplayer:
The Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Multiplayer reveal trailer has just been revealed at this years E3. Playstatin 4 gamers who pre-order the game will get to play the multiplayer beta which is scheduled for August of 2015. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 downloadable map packs will also be playable first on PlayStation as well.
Fallout 4:
Fallout 4: Bethseda’s Post Apocalyptic Adventure set for November Release
Games publisher Bethesda Softworks has announced that Fallout 4 will soon be released on PlayStation 4 on 10th November, 2015. The developers dedicated a large chunk of their their first E3 press conference to giving away details of the upcoming post-apocalyptic role-playing adventure title. Read more here . . .
Hitman:
Mirror’s Edge Catalyst:
In Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, gamers will dicover Faith’s origin story as she grows from a young woman to the heroine for the city of Glass. The free-running based itle will give players the freedom to explore everything from hidden underground tunnels to the tall skyscrapers of the city. This latest installment in the franchise looks set to exceed all expectations!
VR / Project Morpheus Games:
Sony also revealed a number of Virtual Reality based titles geared for use with the Project Morpheus headset. Highlights include the following:
- Godling: from Solfar Studios
- Battlezone: An Atari classic that is being revived by Rebellion, the studio behind Sniper Elite.
- SUPERHYPERCUBE: A first-person puzzler from videogames/art collective KOKOROMI.
- Wayward Sky: A Virtual Reality Adventure game being developed by Uber Entertainment.
- Harmonix Music VR: A title by Harmonix Music Systems that promises “VR music visualization.”
- Headmaster: A football, or soccer, based title from Frame Interactive.
