Epic Games has released an announce trailer revealing the latest addition to the roster of heroes in the free to play MOBA Paragon. The Fey becomes available today (2 August) in the multiplayer online battle arena game as part of its latest update. Epic games categorises The Fey as a Support Caster. This means that the new character uses energy damage, growth, and intellect to great effect.
As a specialist in crowd control who draws on the power of nature, The Fey has a few tricks up her sleeve. Consequently, the explosive plant thrown out by her growth ability gradually affects some serious AOE damage. In addition, she can create a line of thorny brambles that are effective obstacles to other heroes.
Most noteworthy however, is her ultimate; The fly trap. The Fey summons a massive plant that drags in opposing heroes like the similarly named plant and does some serious damage.
Just like the rest of Paragon’s roster of heroes, The Fey will be free. PS Plus subscribers who are in the early access period get first dibs. They will be able to play as The Fey as of tuesday 2 August. For those not on early access, the new character will be available on the Free Open Beta two weeks later on the 16th.
There is one way to get in on the action before then however. Even if you’re not in the early access, and that is by getting yourself a starter pack that will allow you to join in before the 16th.
