The baseball season in America is almost here, and San Diego Studio today announced that its title MLB 15 The Show PS4 will finally release today for PlayStation 4, PS3, and PlayStation Vita.
The new release in the MLB franchise also marks the 10th anniversary for the highly popular baseball game for the company and joins another baseball themed title in Metal head Studios Super Mega Baseball as releases out today.
MLB 15 The Show will feature a lot of improvements and upgrades to the title. A lot of these have been a subject of speculations in the near past. The game will include Year-to-Year Saves, an innovation in sports games that will allow MBL 14 users to save their files onto this year’s MLB 15 The Show PS4 and future games. This means PlayStation 4 players will be able to save and continue their RTTS, Franchise, and Season games.
The company also mentioned that MLB 15 The Show will feature a number of significant improvements when it comes to gameplay. The title has also received a number of improvements in terms of graphics and overall performance. The game will be available starting today at the PlayStation Store.
Some of the new gameplay improvements in MLB 15 The Show PS4 include advanced AI logic for players on the field, new upgraded motion system for speed matching, user controlled cut offs, new speed paradigm for fielders and base runners, and several other improvements that will enhance gameplay. Players will also be able to create player names during the game.
On the graphics front, the title will feature real-time seasonal sun and shadows during the gameplay. The player skins have been toned to as close to reality as possible, and more variations are now possible thanks to the advanced graphics rendering capability on the PlayStation 4. Users on the PlayStation 4 console will also get 10 more minor league stadiums.
If you’re an existing online player on the MLB 15 The Show PS4, you’ll be able to enjoy the extended support beyond June 18. Based on players’ feedback, the company has decided to continue the support for MLB 14 online for a much larger duration compared to previous titles in the past. The company will reveal a new online shutdown date later this year.
Exclusive MLB 15 The Show PS4 features for PlayStation 4 gamers include dynamic statistics based presentations, split screen viewing features, real-time emotional AI scenes at the dugouts and the crowd present at the stadiums, new Jumbotron movies and several additional team and player celebration videos. All these will be available only to PlayStation 4 gamers.
