What a week this is turning out to be! With Bloodborne out tommorow, we have more good news for all lovers of horror party video games. The Brawl, a new horror-themed party game for PlayStation 4 will be coming very soon to Sony’s latest-gen machine.
Many of you may probably still not know what Brawl is, firstly Its a new PlayStation4 horror-themed party video game for up to 4 players. The fact is that there are not many party video games available on the market, particularly horror party games. Like other social video games, Brawl provides an opportunity to spend time with our friends (available for four players) by playing this game together.
The rules of the Brawl are very simple. At the beginning of the game, you and your fellow players are dropped into a pretty weird maze. Players need to gain as many points as possible, in order to win. Also, each player moves across the screen and tries to blast other players to bits with bombs that are placed in certain areas.
However, players need to be very careful, because your own bombs can also be lethal to you, too. We’re pretty sure that you no-one wants to be blown by their own bombs, so, you have to outmanoeuvre the other opponents, avoid all explosives set against you, and arrive at the finish line before your competitors.
If the content of the game seems familiar to other party video games, you’re wrong. With completely new rules and MOBA twist, the Brawl looks totally unique. There are 8 characters in this horror-themed game – each of them has its own special skills and unique powers. One of them can switch places with his target, while another game character uses a Medusa-like gaze to disable its opponents for a moment.
Also, you can kick other opponents onto bombs, or on the numerous traps that are placed all around the arena. If you don’t like violence, you can get out from some place by turning invisible for a short time.
While playing the Brawl you will realize which game character is best suited to you. There is a story mode in this horror-themed party game – eight awesome single-player campaigns. You don’t have to know the backstory of each character, but you can see the unique character skills and basic gameplay. In addition to this, you can learn all game tactics that will significantly help you to make progress in the game. More game knowledge – more success!
The Brawl also allows players to compete with other people from all over the world in two online modes:
- Versus / Arena – Players need to get the most frags by placing explosives and using special skills.
- Duel – This is 1v1 game mode, with much smaller arenas. This mode is perfect for tournaments.
