Hardware: Rivals, the vehicle combat game from SCE, and strategy RPG title The Banner Saga are both coming to PlayStation 4 in January 2016.
In the revived Hardware: Rivals players take on other drivers in fast-paced and explosive vehicular combat using heavy tanks or the more nimbler fast attack vehicles. Players can choose to battle alone or as part of a team as they take part in online challenges, game modes, events, and the multiple maps available in the game.
Hardware: Rivals is out exclusively on PlayStation 4 on January 5 2016 priced at around £15.30.
The finalised game will also include an extra map called Outpost 92. Outpost 92 is a deep-core mining facility that has been cut off by a blizzard and is slowly turning into a slippery, frozen wasteland. Perhaps thats why the game comes with two new vehicles in the Sledgehammer (Tank) and an FAV Nomad.
The above two will line-up next to the wraith and predator, the games’ two other vehicles. All vehicles are customisable through a range of skins and add-ons that players can choose from.
It’s not long before Hardware: Rivals is out and even more content in the form of additional maps, vehicles, and modes will be added shortly after.

The Banner Saga
The Banner Saga is the strategy RPG adventure game from Versus Evil. The game will be available on PlayStation 4 on the 12th of January next year(2106).
Versus Evil has recently been hard at work on the process of porting the game to consoles. In particular the games’ developers wanted to ensure that Stoic’s adventure would feel as authentic on PS4 as it did originally on PC.
In a blog post confirming the games’ release date, the company reiterated the amount of work that had gone into getting The Banner Saga ready for PlayStation 4. The attention to detail included making sure gameplay would be true to form for players on PS4 using their DualShock 4 controllers.
Additional work has been concentrated on making the game localised in several languages. In addition to English, the game can also be localised into French, Spanish, Italian, German, Polish, Portuguese, and Russian.
In The Banner Saga players determine the direction the story takes with the decisions they choose to make. Any choice taken has the potential to present challenges or opportunities at any time, much like in life. But the beauty of the game is that players will always converge on different reference points in the game regardless of the different paths they take to get there.
Another talking point is the games’ artwork. Created by Arnie Jorgensen, the artist took inspiration for The Banner Saga’s art from Eyvind Earle, an American Master, as well as from the children’s books by Ingri and Edgar Parin D’Aulaire.
Versus Evil has already confirmed that Banner Saga 2 is in the works, and players who get the the first iteration on 12 January will be able to carry all their story and character information to the second game when it comes out.
