Video game developers Defiant development, one of the leading game makers in the rouge like genre, have confirmed that card game Hand of Fate will be coming soon to Ps4 and PlayStation Vita. Hand of Fate is a roguelike deck builder that mixes video game magic with table top card gaming and is a Kickstarter funded project.
Based on Tarot and Fantasy, players will create their own story as they gather a collection of cards needed to play in the board game based dungeon that has danger, adventure, and fortune lurking round every corner. During combat, the cards come to life and the player gets to to do battle against his foes in a picturesque, 3D environment.
Hand of Fate has an almost endless combination of cards and methods of playing and different equipment like artefacts, armour and weapons will modify game-play and increase replayability. Players will have to determine their priorities and carefully choose which cards they pick. Because although gamers will have the freedom to choose their cards, it is the Dealer who decides how and when they’re dealt.
Hand of Fate is one of the games that have been built with funding from KickStarter, more details to come.
