After being first revealed in December 2014, Kill Strain could finally find its way to the market in 2016. Developed by Sony San Diego, the highly anticipated game joins the list of Free to Play PS4 Games. The developer has worked on several other games too, including MLB: The Show Games, Drawn to Death and Mark of Kri.
Kill Strain has been slated to be released on 19th July 2016 for all the users on PlayStation 4, but the PS Plus members have got a special privilege in the form of early access to the game starting 12th July. So PS Plus members can now enjoy the action packed free to play PS4 Games before anyone else!
The twin-stick action shooter game involves three teams pitching against each other to gain domination. The 5v5v2 gameplay is one of the highlights of the game where two teams with five players each battle to take control over ‘The Strain’. In Kill Strain, ‘The Strain’ is a mysterious and powerful energy discovered in the research facilities. The new title will surely be one of the more popular free to play PS4 games.
Kill Strain has a multiplayer setup and includes two more players in the roles of mutants besides the two teams. The teams have to fight against the mutants who gain additional abilities when they come in contact with the Strain. Moreover, the mutants spread the Strain further to turn humans into mutants and multiplying their force’s strength.

Kill Strain Joins the List of Free to Play PS4 Games
The gameplay of Kill strain has been set up around a secure facility in the Arctic where Chromacode, a popular security service vendor, has contributed to some ‘new and exciting technologies and advancements’ related to the human genetics. This will help their personnel deal with the contaminated assets and of course the mutants.
The player will have three tasks- secure the miner and repair its harvester, once the payload has been loaded into the ARCC canisters, deliver them to the processing station (also known as the drop-off) and secure this location, and deliver the maximum possible number of canisters to the station. The canisters being talked about here can be explosive and lethal if they come in contact with the Strain.
While in the mission, the player will most certainly come across some contaminated individuals, referred to as mutants, in the arctic location. You will have to make sure that you don’t get in touch with them or allow them to drag you or any of the Chromacode Personnel. During you recover the resources, you can have a competition with the mutants to engage them.
You will be compensated for the completion of every task given by Chromacode and you will also be entitled to receive bonus points for completing secondary objectives. Since you will have to setup an account in order to start playing the game, all the compensation and bonuses will be added to the same digital account.
Players will also get access to the mastery and augment store, which is accessible through the WISP interface. The products in there can be used to complete the given tasks more efficiently and effectively while tackling with the mutants.
