The list of February 2016 PlayStation Plus Games for PS4 is now out and this month’s games are a call to action to join the battle in protecting our planet. Lining up next to fast paced intergalactic multiplayer action game Helldivers will be genre-blending title Nom Nom Galaxy, and Curve Digital’s sci-fi themed turn-based adventure game Nova 111.
Helldivers, Nova 111, and Nom Nom Galaxy will be available for download from 2 February 2016.
Other titles for the PlayStation 4’s sister consoles available with February 2016 PlayStation Plus Games for PS4 are Persona 4 Arena Ultimax (PS3), Grid Autosport (PS3), and Lemmings Touch (PS Vita).
February 2016 PlayStation Plus Games for PS4
Helldivers
First up on the list of February 2016 PlayStation Plus Games for PS4 is Helldivers. Developed by Arrowhead Games Studios in partnership with Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, Helldivers is a fast paced intergalactic multiplayer action game.
In the game, players take on the role of Helldiver troops to spearhead the assault against an impending alien threat in order to protect Super Earth. Featuring action packed cross-play and frantic alien-blasting, Helldivers is a top-down shooter with a satirical sense of humour.
Players will do battle with mankind’s enemies on their own turf in their quest to win in boss battles, traverse difficult environments, complete their objectives and evacuate before the enemy has time to react. Your success, or failure, will impact events in the whole war effort between galaxies.
Up to four players have to choose their combination of advanced weapons, air support and heavy-duty vehicles wisely to have any chance of making it through.
Nom Nom Galaxy
Also on the list of February 2016 PlayStation Plus Games for PS4 is Nom Nom Galaxy. The quirky sandbox adventure lets players compete in an intergalactic soup industry by building giant factories and shipping the tastiest soup into outer space!
With elements of mining, managing resources, and classic platforming, the game is a genre-blending classic that is the result of a collaboration between Q-Games, and British video game developer and publisher Double Eleven. Players will be tasked with mining the resources needed to construct the factories as well as purchase machines and weapons.
Once production begins, players earn cash for expansion and automation of ther soup-making business. Nom Nom Galaxy also feature split-screen co-op play to ensure gamers can team up against rival companies and factories that will stop at nothing to halt your success.
Nova 111
Last but not least on The list of February 2016 PlayStation Plus Games for PS4 is Nova 111, the turn-based sci-fi adventure game from Funktronic Labs that blends real time action with turn-based gameplay.The game features tactical rogue-like combat and sees player embark on a journey to recover the scientists lost the turn-based sci-fi adventure’s alien worlds.
When taking on Nova 111, players will have to pilot their ship through unknown and mysterious planets as they solve mind-boggling puzzles, explore alien worlds,and battle their unfriendly inhabitants in the name of science.
In their review of the game, Destructroid.com had this to say about Nova 111: “The quirk of Nova-111 is exactly what it decided to blend together. Real-time control and turn-based gameplay are almost always mutually exclusive; having one generally precludes the other. Funktronic Labs has crafted a game that melds the two together, and not only does it work, it feels totally fresh and new.”
