Star Wars will join Disney Pixar and Marvel in the new video game – Disney Infinity 3.0: Play Without Limits for PS3 and PlayStation 4. The new Disney Infinity game will bring together many famous characters and include brand new gameplay content.
Disney Infinity 3.0 will feature 3 Star Wars Play sets:
- Twilight of the Republic – in the Episodes I-III timeline;
- Rise Against the Empire set in the Episodes IV-VI (the original Star Wars trilogy);
- The third Star Wars Play (that will be available this winter) is based on Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens.
In Twilight of the Republic, you will be able to use the lightsabers and various supernatural forces in epic battles, such as: Ahsoka Tano, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Maul, Anakin Skywalker, and Yoda. On the other hand, Rise Against the Empire offer numerous galaxy-spanning missions with Princess Leia Organa, Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, and Chewbacca.
This game will also contain a Play set inspired by upcoming 3D computer-animated Disney • Pixar’s movie “Inside Out”, with five Emotions – Sadness, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Joy – as playable game characters. As far as Disney characters, some of them (like Minnie, Mickey, Olaf and Mulan) will also join in the 3.0 Toy Box.
Additionally, there will be a so-called Marvel Play set with new Marvel heroes such as Ultron and Hulkbuster Iron Man.
The new Toy Box Expansion Games: Toy Box Speedway (kart racing) and Toy Box Takeover (action-adventure) will bring numerous Disney Infinity characters together for brand new, structured multiplayer gameplay. So, you will be able to bring all of your Star Wars, Marvel, Disney, and Disney • Pixar characters from previous Disney Infinity editions into these two Toy Box Expansion Games and 3.0 Toy Box.
