Bungie’s latest expansion for its popular first-person shooter, Destiny is now available for PS4 on the Playstation Store. Destiny: Rise of Iron is a major expansion that features a sweeping cinematic story campaign and is set in a new environment created on earth called “the Plaguelands.”

“Rise of Iron is Go for Launch”

Rise of Iron has been eagerly anticipated and its release date of 20 September is finally here. You can check out the Rise of Iron Page here on the Playstation Store. And to mark the release, Bungie took to social media to announce the franchise’ next adventure:

 

The PlayStation Europe Account also announced the new expansions arrival on the Playstation Store, adding that the latest content would also include an exclusive Quest and PvP map:

 

In Destiny: Rise of Iron, players will look to discover the secrets behind the Iron Lords while facing a new foe in the Splicers, a splinter group of the fallen devils. Under the command of Lord Saladin you’ll have to stop the Devil Splicer from using their newly acquired technology of limitless power, SIVA, to shape the Plaguelands to their liking.

In addition to the exclusive Quest and PvP map, Rise of Iron also see the return of one of Destiny’s most iconic weapons, The Gjallarhorn. The weapon is just one of many that players can earn in the new expansion as they face up to the new threat.

Bungie’s launch of the expansion did not go without a hitch however, with players across all  platforms unable to connect to Destiny’s servers.At the time of writing the developer was working franticaly to restore the service as fans of the franchise rush to get their hands on the new game.

 

Hopefully Bungie fixes those issue soon, and gamers can dive into the adventure.
