Frogmind Games has revealed that Badland: Game of the Year Edition will be making its way to PlayStation 4 soon. This physics-based video game will be available for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita on 27th May! The upgraded game comes with a load of all-new content, local multiplayer mode, a wide range of different trophies, and more. In addition, there will be a launch sale!
Badland is the critically acclaimed side-scrolling adventure originally published in 2013 as a console and tablet video game.
The main game character is “Clony” (a little black flying creature), and using him players will explore a strange forest filled with numerous fatal traps, obstacles and imaginative puzzles. Also, there is a variety of power-ups available in the game, such as a cloning power-up – where the player has to control dozens of the cloned creatures at the same time.
Badland: Game of the Year Edition is based on the original version of the game, but with redesigned gameplay and controls, so that it’s perfect both for the PS Vita and the DualShock 4. It allows players to have full control over their game hero at all times. As far as power-ups, they are considerably enriched compared to the previous version, especially a cloning power-up – in a variety of options.
All game levels have been rebuilt and significantly visually enhanced. The new edition contains 100 different skill levels of single-player content, as well as 100 co-operative and 27 multiplayer deathmatch levels for 4-player local multiplayer. This game looks amazing in full HD, while the co-op game mode works impeccable even for players of average skill levels.
With Cross-Buy, the game is available for all three PlayStation platforms. Also, when you play online with your own PSN account on PS4, the current game level will be saved to the cloud. This allows you to continue the game right where you left off last time on the console of your choice. The PlayStation game versions have been made in cooperation with two well-known indie studios, Frozenbyte and Blitworks. Each of these indie developers has contributed significantly to the creation of Badland: Game of the Year Edition.
