Ubisoft yesterday revealed the next title in the multimillion selling single player action adventure franchise entitled Assassins Creed Syndicate. Set amidst the gangs and streets of London in the 19th century, AC Syndicate is the first game in the franchise to be completely developed by Ubisoft’s team in Quebec.
The shift in developers to Ubisoft Quebec comes at a time when the Assassin’s Creed franchise is crying out for modernisation, somewhat of a contradiction for a series set in the past. But with less than stellar results in the preceding instalments, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate has a lot riding on it in relation to the future of the franchise.

Speaking to the Guardian, the game’s executive producer, Francois Pelland had this to say: “I like to say that creating a new Assassin’s Creed game is like creating a new IP . . . we made the decision on London, 1868, the Industrial Revolution, and Jacob and Evie all very early on. And all of that shaped the way we made decisions in terms of innovation. We have the chance to make something interesting and something that’s new.”
In Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate, players will take on the role of main protagonist Jacob Frye — an assassin in 19th century London set on controlling the criminal underground of the city. Players will also be able to play as Evie Frye, Jacobs’ twin brother who is alos playable, with both characers featuring heavily in the game’s narrative
As the leader of one of London’s most infamous street gangs, Jacob and Evie will traverse factory rooftops, seedy back alleys, and even speeding trains amidst the class war between the growing power and influence of wealthy industrialists and the exploited working class during the industrial revolution.
This Latest Assasin’s Creed installment will be available worldwide from the 23rd of October this year. We cant wait! See below for more screenshots.
