Channel 4 has launched its All 4 App for the PlayStation 4 console. The app is now available for download to all PS4 owners and will give users access to all of Channel 4’s digital content. The All 4 App PS4 version was announced today by Channel 4.
With just a couple of days left before Christmas this year, Channel 4’s timing couldn’t be better as most people spend more time at home during the holidays. The All 4 App PS4 version not only gives PlayStation 4 owners access to regular programming and shows, but to exclusive digital content as well. This is great news for PlayStation owners, with all 4 app chromecast and other platforms already available.
All 4 App PS4 user will be able to watch popular TV programmes such as Gogglebox, Peep Show, and Catastrophe, among others. This service will be similar to the all 4 app Sony TV users are used to, or the all 4 app for Android.Those who download the app will also have access to exclusive Channel 4 digital-only content.
With the PS4’s popularity meaning that many more people will be wishing to find a PS4 console under the tree come Christmas morning, the service may very well get a proper try out as people spend the holidays with friends and family.
All 4 App PS4 Download Instructions
To access the All 4 App PS4 service, new PlayStation 4 owners simply need to go to their TV and Video section of the PS4 dashboard then download the app.
The exclusive digital content available to All 4 App PS4 users includes the popular Channel 4 Shorts series. The series features exclusive programming for Channel 4’s all 4 service such as a US series called Married At First Sight.
Speaking in a blog post on the EU PlayStation Blog, Carl Pfeiffer, the head of Distribution at channel 4, mentioned the channels award winning series’ and upcoming shows.
One new shorts series mentioned in the announcement is a new show that takes a look at how free running and Parkour professionals hone their craft called “Urban Explorers”. Yet another is “Everyday Battle Raps,” a show that focuses on the age old practise of battle rapping in public between rappers or MC’s.
No matter what your taste in TV may be, the All 4 App PS4 service will provide lots of extra content to keep PlayStation owners and their loved ones entertained this holiday season.
