Couch co-op game fans have a couple of treats to look forward to on PS4 in the coming months. Top-down shooter Wondershot, from French indie game developer Leikir Studio, and Asteroid Base’s Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime have both been confirmed for PlayStation 4.
Wondershot
Wondershot is a game being made by France-based independent game maker Leikir Studio. The top-down couch co-op shooter is the studio’s second game and is eagerly anticipated on PS4 after sweeping the floor at the 2015 Play Awards in Paris and Lille.
The new Studio wanted to freshen things in the gaming industry up and settled on producing a multi-player party game that anyone could pick up and enjoy playing. With simple and responsive controls, Wondershot may be easy to get the hang of, but the game comes with a straightforward “one shot and you’re down” rule that will keep things interesting!
Wondershot allows up to four players to play head to head, with each player getting the choice of one weapon to use during play. The game also features co-operative play, allowing players to collaborate against hordes of CPU controlled foes.
The key to success will be in understanding what advantages each weapon can bring to your gameplay.
Each of the four available weapons has its own special abilities, an important aspect given the games’ ever shifting map and environments.
Wondershot has already garnered rave reviews and is set to arrive on PS4 this coming spring.
Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime
Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is the critically acclaimed space adventure game from Toronto games Studio Asteroid Base. The intergalactive love-themed game with a string of awards to its name is out on PS4 just two days before valentines day on February 9 2016.
Players in the couch co-op hit game can opt for co-op play with a friend or choose the 1 player option, in which case your partner will be your pet space-cat or space-dog! The team then takes control of a massive space battleship to fight the evil forces representing ‘Anti-Love’.
The PlayStation 4 version of the game has been updated with brand new difficulty modes to ensure that the game remains accessible to players of all abilities.
The easy to understand and simplecouch co-op experience provided by the game is what has made Lovers a huge success, love will definitely be in the air come February 9th.
