The popular Cartoon Network series Adventure Time is set to land on PS4 consoles this year with new title Adventure Time: Finn and Jake Investigations. The PlayStation 4 version of the game will add new gameplay and visual effects to the heroes of the game, and the Land of Ooo.
Adventure Time: Finn and Jake Investigations is being developed by Vicious Cycle Software Inc.Adventure games have recently started becoming popular all over again and Finn and Jake Investigations will be a modern version of the classic adventure game. The title’s gameplay will comprise of exploring places, investigating plots, and solving several puzzles during the game.
Players will interact with their favourite characters from Adventure Time at the Land of Ooo. These include the Candy and Fire Kingdoms, Castle Lemongrab, and Wizard City.
Finn and Jake seemed to have found the tickertype that was used by Joshua and Margaret, Jake’s mother and father respectively. The tickertype was a machine that churned out assignments to them, printing information on cases that needed to be solved.
Jake’s parents were seasoned investigators themselves before they had Jake. Now just like in the animated television series, Finn and Jake have decided to get into the investigation business together.
The game won’t be a single story but instead it would be made up of several different adventures which Finn and Jake must undertake. These adventures will pose challenges as they both travel the kingdoms around Ooo to solve all the cases that the tickertype assigns them. These cases will will involve mysteries too, and will be based in the middle of the sixth season of the Cartoon Network show.
The gameplay will revolve around solving several puzzles and investigating cases. But that’s not everything. While the game isn’t really focussed on fighting sequences, Finn would still have to use his trustworthy sword to solve a few problems.
The fast-paced combat will feature Finn fighting it out against foes who will drop a lot of collectibles and loot. One the player goes back to the Tree House, they’ll be able to see piles of dosh growing in the treasure room. The gameplay will be divided into episodes.
The immersive gameplay will feature a lot of deep interactions and a deep storyline. The visual effects would make the game entirely worth it on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. The title will add 3D visual presentation to the Land of Ooo.
The gaming studio has worked hard on ensuring the art of the show reflects entirely on the game. Finn and Jake Investigations will launch in autumn this year on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
